Laying a new cabin sole (cont) |
The corners were sanded with a square sander and a detail sander using the same grit. These sanders lacked a bagger. Sawdust got on and in everything onboard. I would guess that between the table saw and the sanders, about half of the wood that I purchased was turned into sawdust. It took about 5 hours to sand the floor and another 5 hours to clean the cabin and tape the floor off. I wiped down the sole with a rag wet with denatured alcohol. I borrowed a room air filter and let it run overnight to clear any remaining dust from the air. I then applied a coat of sanding sealer using a high-quality brush.
